Alpha Omega Engineering has proudly provided civil engineering services for three Tractor Supply locations, with the most recent project in Middleton, Idaho. This 4.75-acre site, previously used for agriculture, presented unique challenges due to its rural location and high groundwater levels.
Our team undertook significant extensions to the water and sewer mains to meet the needs of the new store. We also designed utilities and stormwater treatment systems to effectively manage the high groundwater in the area. Additionally, the project included widening the adjacent highway to incorporate a turn lane, enhancing accessibility and safety. Through our comprehensive and adaptive approach, Alpha Omega ensured the successful transformation of this agricultural site into a functional and efficient retail space.

The Bi-Mart store in Star, Idaho, is a successful development on a 3.5-acre site. During construction, higher-than-expected groundwater levels were encountered, necessitating an innovative approach to drainage. Our team modified the drainage basin to include a horizontal drain with an impervious liner along the bottom, effectively managing the groundwater challenge.
Additionally, the project scope included widening the adjacent road along the property frontage and providing drainage storage and treatment for the new impervious area. Through these strategic modifications and enhancements, Alpha Omega Engineering ensured the project's success and improved infrastructure for the surrounding community.

This redevelopment project involved rezoning a site from residential to commercial use, transforming it into three commercial parcels, including a Popeyes restaurant. The development required comprehensive coordination with various agencies, including Idaho Transportation Department approach permitting and Ada County Highway District for road and alley improvements.
One of the key challenges was addressing shallow groundwater, which complicated stormwater design. To overcome this, we implemented innovative solutions and obtained necessary variance approvals to ensure effective stormwater management. Through meticulous planning and execution, Alpha Omega Engineering successfully facilitated the site's transition to a thriving commercial hub.
