CRYSTAL BEACH CONDOS - MCCALL, ID

Project Information

Crystal Beach Condominiums were originally built in 1971 on the side of Payette Lake.  Flooding in the crawl space has been a constant issue and cause for concern. A project was completed in the mid 1980's to address this issue, but groundwater continued to make its way into the crawl space. Over the years, wood structures have began to rot and warranted replacement. Alpha Omega worked with geotechnical engineers to discover the source of the water and design a solution to prevent it from infiltrating the crawl space. It was determined that the water present was high groundwater making its way to the lake. A curtain drain made of heavy duty polyethylene liner.  The crawl space was lined with impervious materials, with an under drain system that uses a pump to remove any water below the crawl space. The affected wood structures were replaced.

Additionally, the parking areas were repaved with new landscaping and stormwater treatment. Construction is currently in process.

Harbor Freight Fork Lift Retrofit

Project Information

Working with our partner Tamarack Grove Engineering, Alpha Omega provided services to Harbor Freight Tools at their store in Woodbridge, VA. The client was interested in installing a forklift ramp at the back of their store to replace their existing loading dock. The forklift ramp was constrained by an existing easement on site and steep existing grades. Alpha Omega worked with the client to maximize the space available to place the ramp and create a low grade loading zone where the forklifts could safely operate.
